I am an illustrator (and very occasionally a writer) of children's books. I was born in Iceland but lived and studied in England where I graduated from the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art in Oxford.

 

For 12 years I was Head of the Illustration Department at the Reykjavik School of Visual Arts in Iceland which I helped to create. My greatest pleasure was in introducing students to the world of illustration and sharing my endless love of drawing. After leaving I happily have more time to concentrate on my career as an illustrator

 

I've illustrated children's fiction, and non-fiction, classics, anthologies and created posters for many publishing houses both in Iceland and the UK. I've also led workshops for children and adults at schools and at the National Gallery of Iceland,
